Twitter allows only a maximum of 140 characters per tweet, which might at times be a limitation. As a workaround, some have been using ‘Online Clipboard’ services and in turn post that link on twitter which requires readers to click through. Twitzer - a Firefox plugin, offers a semi practical solution. Key-in as much text as you want, right click and choose to ‘Twitzer text’ which essentially makes it 139 characters with partial message on your twitter page and the rest of the message still needs a click through. However, if the readers also have this plugin installed, they can ‘De-twitzer Text’ and view the complete message within the user’s twitter page. Will this clutter the twitter pages grossly degrading it’s simplicity? Those used to twitter clients, the only option is to click through.
